Pilgrimage

In Lumbini, the birthplace of the Buddha, pilgrims from all over Asia meditate under bodhi trees. At Pashupatinath in Kathmandu, Hindus make their offerings on the Bagmati, and at Muktinath, 3,700 metres up in Mustang, both religions pray at the same place. For Hindus and Buddhists alike, Nepal is holy ground.
