Annapurna

Few regions change their face so quickly: rice terraces and banana plants at the bottom, rhododendron forests that bloom red in spring above them, rock and ice at the top. The Gurung villages sit like balconies in front of Annapurna and Machapuchare. The highest point of the full circuit is the Thorong La at 5,416 metres.
