The Tiger's Nest clings to a cliff 900 metres above the Paro valley, and the climb through pine forest is one of the finest walks in the country. In Punakha the dzong stands where two rivers meet, in spring under blossoming jacaranda trees. Come for a tshechu and you will see monks dancing in masks, as they have for centuries.
